About Us

Since 2005, New Leash on Life, a companion animal advocacy group has been working to improve the lives and care for lost and homeless animals in Metro Atlanta. In addition, the organization raises awareness about the need for homes and low cost spay/neuter services for the many companion animals in and around our city.

New Leash on Life’s funds innovative ideas and proven successes – large and small – that reduce the homeless pet population in Metro Atlanta through:

  • Funding high-volume, low-cost spay and neuter programs.
  • Donating equipment and services, or funding improvements to facilities that have a
        life saving impact or demonstrate capacity to increase adoptions.
  • Funding adoption programs that demonstrate high success rates.
  • Being a catalyst for cooperation among the many dedicated rescue, animal control,
        and shelter organizations in our community.
  • Raising awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering.
