NEW LEASH ON LIFE, a companion animal advocacy group, is working to improve the
lives and care for lost and homeless animals in Metro Atlanta, and raise awareness
about the need for homes and low cost spay/neuter services for the many homeless
companion animals in and around our city.

Small Dog Rescue
Anne Stockton, President, is presented a check for equipment and build out of a
quarantine area, providing a recovery area for 250 dogs annually, facilitating an
increase in adoptions by 40% annually.

Atlanta Pet Rescue
Awarded a grant to build innovative cat housing, providing natural light, visibility
for potential adopters, and a secure outdoor fresh air space.

Atlanta Humane Society
Granted funds to add a new spay/neuter surgical suite, reducing wait time for adopted
pets, and adding capacity to provide targeted low income surgeries.

Beagle Rescue
After a rescuer shutdown, Fulton County Animal Services needed temporary space for
beagles awaiting transport to new homes in the Northeast. The pups had a playful
respite, on their way to safe permanent homes.

Lifeline Animal Project
Awarded a grant to help fund the Lifeline Spay and Neuter Clinic, a low-cost, high
volume spay and neuter program. Also provided funding for the expansion of Lifeline's
Catlanta program. Catlanta is a feral and stray cat assistance program that supports
trap-neuter-return (TNR) efforts and provides low-cost spay/neuters and vaccinations
for Atlanta's feral cat population.

Fix 'Em Free
Awarded a grant of over $200,000 to fund a minimum of 3,000 spay/neuter surgeries
and vaccinations for Fulton County animals as part of the Fix 'Em Free Program.
Fix 'Em Free provides free spaying or neutering of Fulton County animals to residents
who are not able to afford to get their pets sterilized.

FurKids
Granted funds for a spay/neuter surgical suite with a goal of serving approximately
1,200 animals during the first year of operation. Furkids operates Georgia's largest
no-kill cage free shelter for homeless cats, and one of the only shelters in the
Southeast that has a room dedicated to cats with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV).
