Our Projects

New Leash on Life has made a difference in Atlanta through all of our projects:

Quarantine
Hi, we're Franco and Misty! We’re just 2 of over 600 shelter animals that have graduated from the New Leash on Life quarantine facility. They gave us a beautiful place to stay and play and we had fun making new friends and getting LOTS of belly rubs from the volunteers. We are now healthy enough to move on to rescue organizations and find permanent homes with loving families. Thanks to the good work at New Leash On Life, more and more groups are being encouraged to adopt our happy, healthy friends.

  Spay and Neuter

Hi, I'm Max! Thanks to New Leash on Life, my family could afford to have me neutered at my regular vet. They have helped the nice people at places like Briarcliff Animal Clinic in College Park and the Lifeline Animal Project to perform over 3,000 low/no-cost spays and neuters this year for loving pets like me. Even the smallest donation can help!

New Leash of Life sponsors spay/neuter surgeries for animals at Fulton County Animal Shelter and also offers low cost and free surgeries for dogs from low income families.  Many surgeries are performed at Fulton County Animal Shelter.  Our vouchers, which New Leash on Life honors, are accepted at Briarcliff Animal Clinic (College Park) and Lifeline Animal Project. New Leash on Life will have funded over 3,000 spay/neuters this year for Fulton County Animals.

Rescue and Adoption
Hi, I’m Zack! I used to be chained to a tree all day and night until New Leash On Life saved my life. Now I’m healthy and ready to go anywhere. I even worked with a trainer who taught me about manners! Fulton County Animal Shelter has over 100 animals just like me who desperately need a place to call home.

Many wonderful purebred and mixed-breed dogs and cats are available for adoption through our shelter. Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and $65 for cats, and include all recommended shots, deworming, microchipping and spay or neuter.  Please browse our adoptable pets or visit us today to find a new companion to enrich your life.

Animal Outreach Center
1325 Donald Lee Hollowell,  Atlanta, Ga

The center is located in one of the highest animal intake zip codes of  Fulton County Animal Services. The goal of the program is to implement neighborhood programs and services to reduce the number of animals, from that zip code, coming into the shelter. New Leash on Life has funded shot clinics, spay/neuter days and other activities to assist the animals in the immediate neighborhood.   Other groups, who do anti-dog fighting training, have used the building for training classes for children, teenagers and adults in the area.
